Gutter Cleaning and Roof Repairs
The guttering and valleys on your roof might look fine from ground level, but they could be hiding problems with serious consequences if left unattended.
When a gutter, valley or downpipe becomes clogged with leaves or other wind-borne rubbish, rainwater can overflow back into the eves, and then onto the building framework. Often structural damage has already begun when tell-tale mould appears on the eves, ceilings and walls.
Leaf-filled guttering is also a fire hazard, especially in summer if there's bushland nearby.
Another potential problem lurking in your guttering is silt build-up over time. Instead of draining away, rainwater turns it into sludge that gradually erodes the metal.
Leaf guards can keep your gutters clear of wind-borne debris - but beware, some leaf guard systems work better than others!
